I have a Buffalo LinkStation NAS and it came with a program called Navigator, no issue Mapping a folder on the drive from either Wired or Wireless/Wi-Fi computers, either Home or Pro using Win7, Win10 and Win11.

Some policies may not work in Windows Home because the underlying services are missing.
If enabling GPEdit does not apply changes, you may need to edit the registry instead (regedit).
