Hello & TIA ,
Trying to Compress a Folder that has multiple sub-Folders :
And I am getting this error :
Compressed (zipped) Folders Error
File not found or no read permission.

Can I NOT Compress Folders with sub-Folders ?

Windows 11 native compression, zip, will compress folders with sub-folders. Do you have "Read" permission?
To set "Read" permission;
  1. Right click on the folder that is having trouble compressing files and go to Properties.
  2. On the Security tab, click Edit to change the permissions.
  3. Select the admin user in the Group or User Names section.
  4. Put a checkmark on Allow full control.
If the above fails to solve the problem, you could try using the free 7 Zip and see if that works. You can download from the link below.

Be sure to choose the appropriate download.

it is common, but its not a problem since Microsoft disabled the access to certain sections / sectors of the operating system from being misused by the user, this also persists even you have logged in as Administrator or using Administrator account in the computer system unless you have FULL CONTROL of your computer by Taking Ownership the whole drive itself ..

.. the best way for normal users is to get rid of the built-in compression feature to 7-ZIP, WinRAR or Power ISO kind of 3rd party applications.
