This certainly peaked my interest today when I saw

Windows 11 is getting Android apps, taskbar improvements, and more next month

BUT
Only briefly until I actually read the article.
The "taskbar improvements" involve
a mute and unmute feature and likely the ability to show a clock on secondary monitors.
Woo Hoo!!
AND
The Android apps apparently
allows you to install a limited number of apps from Amazon’s Appstore.
Not exactly the repository of "Android apps" I was hoping for.
BUT
At least there's a new version of Notepad that supports Dark Mode AND yet another attempt at some type of universal Media Player o_O

I'm pretty excited about Android apps on Windows 11 - although I wish there was a way it could have been Google Play instead of Amazon Appstore. There are quite a few things that I'd love to be able to run natively, such as some smart home control apps. I do wonder how popular it'll be.
