How to add folder to file explorer right click menu

In Windows ten I could add a folder to the right click menu of file explorer just by dragging it to the file explorer icon in the taskbar. That doesn't work in 11. I found a workaround that involves sending the folder to the desktop and using properties of the desktop icon to add "Explorer" to the shortcut menu. I got this to work once and it didn't work with one attempt. Is there a higher tech method of adding a folder to file explorer right click menu? It's one of the most used features in Windows for me.
