Microsoft Photos

After upgrading to windows 11 (from windows 10) microsoft photos was unable to open photos. I ultimately uninstalled the app and tried to reinstall from microsoft store and I continually get a message to "try again later". This has been ongoing for over a 1-2 months now. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to download the app?
