I have 4 monitors on my system. Monitor 1 on Displayport #1 and so on. Monitor 1 decided to not show any video except for the manufactor's logo at startup.
I plugged Monitor 1 into DP #2, 3 and 4 no vid on Monitor 1.
I plugged Monitor 2 into DP # 1 there was vid on Monitor 2.
This made me think Monitor 1 has gone bad so I purchased a replacement.
Today i decided to boot up my system, besides I have three 27 inch (two still working) and one 7 inch monitors.
Now the 7 inch monitor on DP #4 and monitor on DP #1 have no vid.
Here is where it gets weird.
I disconnected the 7 inch on DP #4 and the vid returns to Monitor 1 on DP # 1
Disconnect Monitor 1 and connect the 7 inch to DP # 1 and yes, it has video.
Is it a monitor or something with the video card?
Any ideas? Thanks....

It sounds like a weird conflict, but here's what might be happening:

When all monitors are connected, the GPU might be struggling to properly allocate resources or detect the monitors correctly, especially if it's running near its maximum output capacity.

A few things to try:
  1. Update GPU drivers – Make sure you're on the latest version.
  2. Check power supply load – If the GPU is close to maxing out power or bandwidth, that could cause issues.
  3. Check Windows Display Settings & GPU Control Panel – Sometimes monitors are detected but not enabled properly.
  4. Try different cables/ports – Rule out cable issues or port damage.
  5. Test the 7-inch monitor independently – Make sure it’s not drawing too much power or causing signal conflicts.

It doesn't sound like the monitors are bad. This could be a GPU or software problem. Also, try using a powered DisplayPort hub if possible.
