Brand new computer, Windows 11 installed by the manufacturer, everything works well except Bluetooth. At first, I could get any Bluetooth device to connect to the computer, although these same devices connected properly to my tablet and my laptop and my computer at work.

Looking in Device Manager, I see the following:

Note the yellow warning icon next to Generic Bluetooth Adapter. After much Googling, I decided to update the drivers, but each time I tried I got the message that the driver was already up to date. Then I decided to uninstall both the Generic Bluetooth Adapter and the Realtek Bluetooth Adapter. Then I was able to connect several Bluetooth devices, and I see this in Device Manager. Note that my devices now appear and function properly, but there is still a yellow warning icon.

Anyway, the devices all work as expected ... but each time I restart the PC, I am back to the first screen capture, and I have to go through the process of uninstalling two adapters to get back to the desired state where everything works.

How do I stop this from happening, so like on my old PC, Bluetooth works as soon as I boot the PC. How do I make Harald Bluetooth happy?

You said that it is a brand new computer. Since you have a driver issue, you should go to the manufacturers website and get the appropriate drivers and install them. It looks to me that Windows update has installed drivers that are incorrect or outdated (WU does that frequently). Then you should disable driver updates through Windows update (via Group policy editor "gpedit.msc"). Look for 'Windows update'

Microsoft will only give generic drivers for those manufacturers not in their recent list, but they shall make it available via upcoming Windows Update. However, if you need to update manually try 3rd party tools such as IOBit Driver Booster to update get the unavailable drivers.

In my case, i found more than 10 to 15 drivers which Microsoft never update the latest release, but managed to update them using IOBit Driver Booster.

I have used IOBit driver booster before but deleted it after a while as it constantly replaced the latest drivers with older ones. Can't have that. Goodbye IOBit.

I just use IOBit Driver Booster once completed W11 setup, after all the drivers updated just uninstall it .. the updated drivers will remain intact, never keep IOBit Driver Booster as memory resident as it will go crazy :D
