Hello, my ASUS laptop has a motherboard issue and isn't starting. I removed the SSD to use it externally, but there's no BitLocker key or password available, and it’s not stored on the device. How can I recover my data from the external SSD? The data is very important to me.

Recovering data from a BitLocker-encrypted SSD without the key can be tough. You can check your Microsoft account for the recovery key, but if it’s not available, this won’t help.

The BLR BitLocker Data Recovery Tool is a better option. It specializes in recovering data from BitLocker-encrypted drives and can bypass encryption to retrieve important files safely. Its user-friendly interface makes the recovery process straightforward, making it ideal for accessing critical data on inaccessible SSDs.

I don't believe this. The whole point of having your data encrypted is to ensure it cannot be read without the encryption key. See also previous post #2.

If you look at the program description, it says you will need to provide the key or password.

Hey @rfsmith7 Your point of view is "having your data encrypted is to ensure it cannot be read without the encryption key".. but BLR Bitlocker Data Recovery also scan your whole system to find. The tool have advanced algorithm that, also find the key that users stored or saved in system. In many cases, users save thier key or passoword that users got forget after thier encryption. So this, tool completly helpful for recover files from bitlocker encrypted drives and bypass encryption to retreive files.

I hope my answer satisfy your needs.

Absolute nonsense. You clearly do not understand how encryption works. You CANNOT bypass encryption under any circumstances, you must have the Bitlocker key. This will be stored in the TPM on the motherboard and your Microsoft account. If the user has stored their key in a file on the disk, and that disk has been encrpyted, then that file will have been encrypted too.

Quite simply, if the disk is encrypted, and you don't have the encryption key, then scanning the disk will never be able to see anything recognizable.
