please just a question-hp 15-dw1081wm come out of the box with 4gb of ram, how did they expect this to run windows 11

You can upgrade your RAM according to the specs to max 64GB in two banks. the 4GB is in one slot only and is the bare minimum.

Just use Rufus and bypass those restrictions and .. what do you think about mine ..

I realize the ram can be expanded-my initial question was how did they ever think 4gb would run at all

Looks great, but I don't understand. this is a new laptop and out of the box runs like it's in quicksand
