Can someone please explain to me what those SSL certificate renewal messages that I get are all about? Never had one on my websites to begin with.

SSL certificate renewal messages remind you to update the security certificate that protects your website.

If you never set one up, it could be:

1. Your hosting provider added it automatically (some do this for free).
2. A service you use includes it (like Wix or WordPress.com).
3. A spam or scam email—be careful before clicking anything!

Check if your website has HTTPS and a padlock in the address bar. If yes, you do have an SSL certificate.
