The excess spam didn’t help. It’s difficult to get members to return if a forum can’t control spam especially if reporting it does nothing.
Eventually those members may check back with us & notice the lack of spam.

Yes, me too will come and update the news & updates section regularly when there's new releases .. hope SPAMS can be overcomed and keep the forum clean as per natural related discussion .. also we need some active moderators to keep an eye on the contents

It’s those odd ones which come from new spammers which can get through & need to be reported. If the IP address is already listed then the spammer is caught & held in the moderation queue.

In a forum where I am admin, we have a tool that compares the username with his IP address. If a user has too many different IP addresses, the user is automatically blocked and has to contact the admins. That is why our users cannot use a VPN to access the forum as with each login they get a different IP address.

on that note: I have to congratulate @Bastet to do a perfect job cleaning up the forum. Finally we have someone here that REALLY takes the job seriously.
