OK, I'm game....what's a Trash Icon?

Right-click of the Recycle Bin icon on the Desktop offers only 2 choices that fit the subject, Pin to Quick Access and Pin to Start, both work but don't find a choice to pin to the Taskbar. A Search of Windows finds only this:
A shortcut to that file can be put on the Desktop but it's ineffective.
