my neighbour brought his desk top pc round he has been having issues installing win11 ? the pc is a MSI ryzen 5 -1600 the motherboard is a B450m -apro max (tpm 2.0 installed ) it has 16gb of ram a 128gb nvme drive ( win 10 pro installed ) and 2x 1tb drives
the issue since he installed the update 22h2 win 10 recognises the tpm 2.0 as does the bios he has run win 11 health checker which states pc is compatible with win 11 yet when win 11 downloads we get error message UEFI fail ? ok you change bios to see EUFI and windows 10 hangs ? change bios back and win 10 installs ?
i have a 2 x pc with same motherboard and win 11 installed no issues any ideas how to resolve this ?

Have you checked that he has the latest Bios as there were some issues with tpm implenation on earlier Bios versions on some Amd boards.

update to problem removed the update 22h2 then when back into bios and set it to UEFI rebooted the pc and win 10 loaded ? so reinstalled update 22h2 restarted the pc win10 loaded ? suspect there was an error in the original download of the 22h2 update win 11 has now been installed thanks for all input to this issue
