Hi everyone. I've got an Alienware Laptop with Windows 11. I usually work off an external hard drive and when I'm taking an extended break will close the lid. When I come back and open the lid to resume work I will be greeted by a Blue screen with a notification that Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown, there may be some mention of my external drive. I suspect that perhaps Windows is attempting to treat my external as a boot drive during or after it's downtime. My first instinct is to adjust the boot order in BIOS, but wanted a second opinion. My google searches haven't a provided a solution to this issue that isn't over ten years old.
Any help or insight with this would be greatly appreciated.
