So far can only extend or pick #1 or #2 to view desktop.

The steps below should resolve the problem.

1. Right click on an empty area of the desktop.
2. Choose Display Settings.
3. Scroll Down to the Multiple displays area and select Duplicate these displays or Extend these displays.

I am not aware of any other solution.
