Why can't I browse photos from my iPhone using the Photos app on Windows 11 when connected via cable?

Don't know if it's the same issue but I was tasked some months ago to recover image files from an old iPad G2. Had to install the latest iTunes onto my Windows Notebook to get a file manager that the iPad did not have, worked fine to get the files onto a USB Thumb drive for the client.

iPhones have limited access within Microsoft products even they provide legacy drivers, please install iTunes for the proper updated drivers ..
