DPC Watchdog Violation error

Hi,
When powering ON the laptop, it freezes and then after about 1 minute, displays a blue screen listing "DPC Watchdog Violation" error and restarts. Thereafter, everything works fine for hours as long as the Laptop has not gone to sleep.
I was told that Audio drivers were conflicting or needed updating, but Windows confirms I have the latest drivers, and even after disabling these drivers, the error still occurs.
Any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks
Dave

Try disconnecting external devices if any and reboot.
Try running system file checker utility, sfc /scannow as an elevated command prompt. This will find and fix any corrupt or missing system files.

Thanks for your suggestions. Received a message that files were fixed, but this did not resolve the issue.

Please state your computer specification, Windows will always tell your driver is up to date even it's not because Microsoft forces users to retain and use updated "Microsoft Verified" drivers .. the complete check only can be done by 3rd party driver scanning & updating such as IOBit Driver Booster / Driver Talent Pro / Auslogics Driver Updater which are famous. I had these problems earlier whereby Windows notified that all my system drivers are up-to-date, but actually they were not ! :)

Watchdog error often occurs from out-dated drivers (especially SATA AHCI Controller driver) and/or other storage related drivers, also the programs which runs at startup monitors "specific" driver applications, for example SSD Monitoring, Realtek Audio, nVIDIA or even Intel Graphics where you can locate it near the right-side of taskbar near clock. To disable these monitoring applications simply use Run Command ->MSConfig and refer below;

In my experience, Windows told me that my latest updated driver were 2010 (final) .. again when I used IOBit Driver Booster then it gave me an updated driver which were released in 2013.

Windows lied to me ! 🤭
