I have an Epson ET 8500 on a home ethernet network with 2 Windows 11 PCs all connected by a ethernet switch. Yesterday one started to print extremely slowly. From MS Word about 1 line every 10 seconds - other apps are the same. Printing from Photoshop is virtually impossible. The other PC works and prints as normal.
When printing starts I get this pop up as shown below. Despite this after a couple of seconds the printing starts but as I said it takes forever.
As it all works from one PC it must be something to do with the other. Apart from this printing problem it appears to work OK and a speed test gives a download speed of 550+ Mbps so I think the ethernet adaptor / switch is OK. And as the printer works from the second PC it is not the printer itself.
Any suggestions are most welcome.
