The current Insider Preview Build, 22635.3500, has both gifts and quirks. Among the exciting improvements and updates, there is one pesky bug: the Settings app often crushes when you try to copy text.

Fear not, as Microsoft is already on the case. They acknowledged the problem and promised to work on a solution. However, while we wait for an official fix, we have a handy workaround: the Snipping Tool.

If you find yourself caught in the crossfire of crashing Settings, consider avoiding the problem by using the Snipping Tool's Extract Text option. You just need to open the tool, choose the necessary text, click Extract Text, then Copy all text, and voila! Your text is now ready to paste wherever you choose.

But what if you're used to using the right-click context menu to copy text? Fear not! Instead, try the usual Ctrl + C shortcut. Sometimes, the usual methods are the most dependable.

While Snipping Tool captioning might seem like an inconvenience, think of it as a temporary detour on the road to smoother Windows sailing. And who knows, maybe Microsoft will surprise us with a quick fix sooner than expected.
