Hi am new to this post just finished upgrading to windows 11 from windows 10. Touchpad no longer works and this laptop is only 2 1/2 months old got brand new. Checked in Settings and the precision touchpad settings is missing. This seems to be a problem with lenovo laptops. Does anyone know how to fix it. Checked lenovo support page for touchpad it is a alps precision touchpad. Downloaded the alps precision touchpad by model number and it still won,t work. Have to use mouse. Hope someone has a solution. Thank you. PS like the layout of windows 11 very clean.

A lot, if not most, laptops have a function key combo that allows you to turn off the touchpad when needed. Check that first
Also windows has some settings that allow certain touchpad adjustments. Check there next.

Check Windows Updates -> Optional Updates and see if there might be a Driver hiding there.

Sometimes I am also facing the same issues with the mouse touchpad on my IdeaPad 310 and it even starts working after restart or the next weekly update. Well, this is Windows 11 (Dev/Beta) Insider Preview and it is expected to get such issues.

However, the taskbar cannot be moved to the side of the screen, which is annoying when processing pictures, which are not always letterbox 16:9, screen aspect ratio. This is a W 11 specific fault, or deficiency, that needs fixing.
