The Documents folder on This PC has been taken over by OneDrive. Pathway is c:/user/onedrive/documents instead of what it should be c:/user/documents.
How do I get this data (30+ years of research) back on my local drive?

Open the One Drive folder in File Explorer and copy everything you want to keep locally to a safe location then Click on the One Drive icon

Open Settings

Click on Backup


Deselect Photos and Screen Shots (or not)
Click on Manage Backup



Deselect folder not wanted to be backed up.




Done!
