Can’t Login to PC: Password Remembered but PIN Sign-in Disabled

I remember my password but not my PIN, and the PIN sign-in option is disabled. How can I log in to my PC?

When the log-in fails are you being shown 2 small icons for log-in Options under the box? One usually is for the password and the other for the PIN. The PIN is usually assigned after the Password is set. My latest computer [Dec. '23] didn't ask for a Password, went directly to setting the PIN.
