I would like to switch from slow erasing hdd ssd to physical destruction, to save time. What is a quick and easy way to disable a hard drive physically? If I destroy the PATA/SATA, and power connectors, a person could still replace the PCB board, and recover the data? I prefer something I can hold in my hand to do this, not an industrial drill or large tool.

The question is: Recycle, which means use again, or Destroy so on-one can ever use it again.

Not sure about the fire, but a Hammer can certainly make any HD NON Reusable. As long as you get down to the actual disks.

Or stand it up and use it for target practice, with any Firearm. That can be the most fun!

Cheers!
