The Windows 11 start menu is currently divided in to two sections, the top half is for "pinned" apps and the bottom half is the "recommended" section which will display new app installs or frequently used files. It is possible to disable the recommended section from showing any of these options.

1. To begin, open Settings by pressing ⊞ Win + I or finding it via Start/Search.
