Missing "visual" notification when plugging in USB drive

I have been all over the internet looking but can find nothing to fix. When I plug in a Samsung 250gb thumb drive, I can get no "Visual" notification that it has been plugged in. I get sound, and I can access the drive, just no visual notification, no matter what I have selected in "Autoplay settings

I rebooted after running the edited file and voila! Afterwards, you can selectively turn ON or OFF the notifications from apps and other senders; goto> Settings>System>Notifications>Notifications form apps & other senders.
