Odd Noise

Recently I added a different keyboard to my desktop's setup
There were no drivers needed,
yet I am constantly hearing odd noises, as if a new device
was being searched for.
Everything works, but that noise is irritating.
Is it possible the driver(s) for the old keyboard are causing a conflict?
All of the devices plugged in are accounted for, with
no connections missing and no unnecessary connections in place.

Any suggestions on removing old driver that might be causing the
odd noise?

Normally a keyboard will just work, whether USB Wired or USB Wireless dongle. Bluetooth Wireless are different. Did you bother to use Device Manager to uninstall then disconnect the old keyboard before connecting the new keyboard then reboot to let Windows install as needed.

Mechanical devices, like fans or drives can make noise, hardware drivers do not. Get serious!!!

I've plugged in one keyboard after another and Windows never even noticed. The keyboard driver in Windows is Generic.

Of all the keyboards I've bought and installed over the past 40+ years, none ever came with a specific Driver. That's just not the way they work!

Hearing noise? Open up your PC and look for the device making the noise. Clean it, or oil it, FIX it!

Or just take it to your trusty neighborhood Computer Tech, who is experienced in fixing such things.
Good Luck,
Shadow

To elaborate...
The noise I am hearing is as if a new device were connected to the system.
A tone or two. Sort of ruins the music being listened to.
Opening Device Manager, there are no Yellow or Red Flags displayed.
Uninstalled all keyboard devices.
My USB keyboard still functions, yet that noise reoccurs every few seconds.
I could easily mute the speakers, yet that would disallow
the music playing through them.

I gather there is a confliusdt of some type causing this, but other than
disconnecting every device being used amd observing whether the sound goes away,
just thought there was an easier solution.
Or at least I wasn't alone in experiencing this.

Just for my information, but Is the noise something mechanical from the inside of your computer or is it a on the audio system, the loudspeakers, headphones?

A tone being played on the speakers as if a new device being connected/sensed.

And using that keyboard on a different USB port, or try different keyboard, does not make any difference?
If it does make a difference, I guess, it's a hardware problem with that USB port. If no differences, is software what is left, and I think, I simply would re-install Windows.

I looked in Device manager.
5 keyboards listed.
Unplugged the usb keyboard...
Then selected each individually, uninstalled device for each.
Plugged in usb keyboard, it installed and
all 5 instances reappeared.
???
Can I uninstall driver and keep it gone forever for the 4 not needed?

Should you not have 2 keyboards, one with your system and the other the USB keyboard?
So remove the keyboards instead of the drivers?

From here it looks like wether that USB keyboard is being connected over and over again, possibly caused by a bad connector or bad cable.
Disconnect that USB keyboard from your computer, right click on the keyboad icoons remove them, until you have only the original keyboard left.
Test the USB keyboard elsewhere.
