It has been available in Windows 10. Maybe MS, in their infinite wisdom, have made it more prominent.

Yes, they've inserted it onto the taskbar. I used to use it in Windows 10, but I had to install Teams. This is installed when Windows 11 installs. From what I read, it's being received with mixed results. It's not like you can't hide it in the taskbar, so I don't see why some aren't happy with it being there.

Usual story I'm afraid. I have only briefly used Windows 11. Not too impressed and saw nothing innovative. But I think the premature whiners haven't bothered too examine the configuration possibilities but just want to get in with the compalints section! ?
