Hi there
I bought Windows 10 Home Edition, used it for a while, and then upgraded to Windows 11 Home Edition. Recently, I changed my motherboard, and now Windows prompts me to reactivate. I've tried troubleshooting and selecting the option for recent hardware changes, but when I check the keys linked to my account, I see my previous Windows 10 Home Edition listed. However, it says the edition doesn't match, and I can't select it.
Do i really need to revert to Windows 10 and then upgrade again to Windows 11, or is there a workaround available?

Fish, or cut bait!
The life of Windows 10 is just about over, so Windows 11 will be your best bet.

If I had that PC here, on my PC Work Bench, I'd back up all valuable data,
Grab a Flash Drive with a suitable version of Windows 11 on it and do a Clean install of Windows 11.
That would solve all the problems you've mentioned.

The process is really very simple... I did it all early this morning. i downloaded an ISO of Windows 11, burned it to a Flash Drive with Rufus, and then installed it to a blank HD on my Main PC.
That was all within an hour, before breakfast.

If you were local, I'd say "bring that PC over here and I'll show you how easy it is to fix."

Good Luck,
Shadow
