I am using windows 11 insider the latest version (updated from time to time),
but when I launched windows media player, it is still the older version, not the new one.
Why?
How to get the new one?

Right click on the white space at the bottom - where the "Play" arrow etc are sitting). Select help in the drop down menu that appears and select "Check for updates"

After updated to insider preview 22509, now I have the new Media Player.
But it is unstable, the screen is flickering when I use the player.
I still prefer VLC player. :D

You might not have the new Windows Media Player because:

Windows Version: The new Windows Media Player is available starting with Windows 11 (build 22523 and later). If you’re on Windows 10 or an older Windows 11 build, it won’t be included.

Updates: You may need to update Windows fully via Settings > Windows Update to get the latest features.

Optional Feature: Sometimes, the new Media Player is an optional feature that needs to be enabled or installed from the Microsoft Store.
