I run a small sign-writing business and rely on three computers to operate my Roland Cam-1 plotter cutter. A recent Windows security update has disrupted my ability to perform essential tasks, causing significant delays for my customers.
I received the following message on 17/06/2024:
Dear Customers,
A Windows update released last Thursday morning is causing issues with ROLAND CUTTERS. When sending a file, the cutter just flashes and makes a noise but doesn’t cut.
For Windows 10, uninstall security update KB5039211.
For Windows 11, uninstall security update KB5039212.
Pause your Windows updates to prevent the update from reinstalling, then restart your PC. This should restore functionality.
Roland Japan is working on a fix. Note that this issue affects only the CUTTERS; Print and Cut are functioning normally.
<THIS IS NOT RESOLVED>
Auto updates have disabled my work tools again.
Any advice on how to handle this ongoing issue?
