new windows 11 laptop with NVIDIA Geforce 3050. I have 2 profiles, work and personal. I was running it with 3 external monitors and it worked great for the first day. Been updating and installing programs today when I noticed the font size in the windows file explorer, icon font and font in the header of various windows was extremely large. It is not a typcialy font size, screen resolution or scale setting. Just stumped and wondering if anyone else has come across this as well.

It's possible that the issue with the font size in the Windows File Explorer and other windows is related to the recent updates or program installations you have made on your new Windows 11 laptop. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check the Display Settings: Go to Settings > System > Display and make sure that the scaling is set to 100% or your preferred scale. If it's set to a higher percentage, try lowering it and see if it helps.
  2. Check the Font Size Settings: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Display and make sure that the "Font Size" setting is set to your preferred size.
  3. Update your graphics card driver: Go to the NVIDIA website and download the latest driver for your GeForce 3050 graphics card. Install the driver and see if it resolves the issue.
  4. Try changing the theme: Go to Settings > Personalization > Themes and try changing the theme to a different one to see if it affects the font size.

Settings hasn't changed jack in settings. I really find magnifier to be inconvenient when it seems that fonts can simply be enlarged if Microsoft gets their he*ds out of their a**es and respond to users. I remember back in '95 when they were so proud of the customization the user could do. Now it seems windows wants to force one unalterable interface for all to use, and if they want to make the fonts smaller we just have to settle.
