Today, we'll look at Microsoft's latest tweak, which has caused quite a stir among Windows 11 users. Imagine going through your Start menu, looking for the familiar Sign Out button, only to discover it suddenly hidden behind a modest three-dot menu.

Yes, you read it correctly. In its quest for interface refinement, Microsoft has tucked away this critical function under the new Account Manager, leaving some customers frustrated. With the recent release of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.3500, a significant change occurred in the Beta channel. Instead of the typical Sign Out and Switch User buttons, users are now sent to a submenu where they can engage in a treasure quest.

But wait, there's more. Microsoft appears to believe it is entirely reasonable to display OneDrive storage and Xbox Game Pass subscription expiry dates in the midst of these changes. While the new Account Manager appears to have a more streamlined approach to managing account settings, customers are left wondering about its genuine utility.

The Account Manager's introduction falls short from a user's standpoint, especially as Subscription data and account notifications are already conveniently located within the Settings app. Let's not forget the odd addition of Xbox Game Pass membership prompts to the Settings homepage banner.

It's as if Microsoft is tempting customers to explore the realm of gaming while also controlling their system preferences.

For me, it is in fact hidden to the left of the (...) menu item by using such a low contrast scheme that it is hardly visible depending on the computer display and light.
On some of my (older) computers, it is hardly visible (LCD screen). It remains quite washed out on my HP OLED display. I am guessing your username also shows with low contrast, but while it remains somewhat visible, the sign out option is hardly visible. I am guessing it may be theme dependent but did not play with it.
I guess MS does not want us to sign out or maybe they did a special human factor study to see how to confuse the heck out of everybody! Good job MS!

My default install of Win11, Desktops and Notebooks, right-click of the Start button, only use it when wanting to change User or when creating a New User and Sign out before Rebooting to get the choices on the log-in screen.
