Why is edge such a lousy browser. It's the only browser that could possibly ask you to reject or except cookies twice?..why do you need this unless they want to track the crap out of you. It tries to force you to except bing, as if I need that. When I go to my favourites they're missing and so is privacy badger and Ublock.

And you keep banging your head against the brick wall, and then ask "why does my head hurt"? Duh!

Either STOP using Edge all together or put in your own Search Engine.

I do have Edge, but only with https://www.Startpage.com as my SAFE Search Engine.

And I use Firefox, with the same search engine as my Main Browser. Never a problem!

I'm not banging my head as you say...When Edge updates, it gets rid of the search engine and the add on's..I'm not that thick as to use theirs..In firefox I use duckduckgo which is always there and so are the add ons even after updates. The only time I use edge is because certain websites like Argos don't always work when it get's to the paying bit.

Might want to try Chrome browser. It has the same Basis as edge but is more comfortable, at least for me. It is my preferred browser. Edge has always been screwing around with my Bookmarks and settings. That is why I do not use it. Alternative you can try Opera browser

I have all my credentials with Google Chrome, since my smartphone sync with Google Account, but no problem by using in Edge as well .. both Google Account and Microsoft Edge communicates without any problem .. and about the data import may wanted to use Edge://Flags command and enable the feature manually ..

At first Edge don't allow me to export passwords, but even though I re-installed Windows 11 many times, each time I start Edge for the first time it asks for me to sync with Google Account and all bookmarks and passwords all synced automatically without any problem ..

Exactly, at FIRST RUN (upon fresh new installation) .. it will give the user an option to import, but once the user skipped the notification, cannot be imported manually via SETTINGS in the Edge as an option
