Previews not showing for Canon .CR3 files

Hi,

Previously I have used a Canon camera that generates .CR2 files, and, having installed the Raw Image Extension, these display previews as expected in File Explorer. However, with my new camera that generates .CR3 files, previews are not showing until I open the folder with the "Photos" app, whereupon they display instantly. I don't use the Photos app nor do I want to (Irfanview is my default viewer); why do previews display for one type of image automatically, but not for the other, and how do I fix it, please?

At first step, please click below link and download the RAW extension support feature from Microsoft Store. Try to see if the thumbnails are working, if not try after restarting the computer once.
