Cannot open .js files

Just found out that I cannot open .js files at all. It worked on win 10. Any ideas?

I understood that you recently upgraded from Winodw 10 to 11.
Do you have Java installed ? It was certainly not installed automatically !

Well, I was referring to davehc's post.
Tried your suggestion and .js files now open with the application I had pointed to. (Coffee Cup HTML editor)

alternatively you can use Notepad++ .. after installation, left click and hold SHIFT key and then right click on the specified file the OPEN WITH .. select Notepad++ or (if not shown), select use another application in computer then point it to where Notepad++ has been installed
