Keyboard button '=' stopped working however '+' works

Hi Support,

The equal '=' button stopped working on my computer and I can't get it back. It appears to be some sort of keyboard mapping issue that I cannot fix. Here are the list of things I have tried but failed to fix the problem: The keyboard settings are set to ENG US

1. Rebooted
2. Tried another keyboard from working computer on which the '=' does work.
3. Switched to ENG (Canada) and then back to ENG US
4. Removed the keyboard from device manager and then rescanned for new hardware

Please help

Have you installed any such software
OR
Has any software that you have installed required any special key mapping... a game or anything else.

Tried another keyboard from working computer on which the '=' does work.

The "does work" part of that... meaning it does work on the other computer or does work when you swap it to your computer with the problem??
I assume you would let us know about any other misbehavior that might involve a stuck Shift key.

You might try and boot the system into Safe Mode and see if the problem persists.
