Hello, I'm new here. Hope everybody out there is having a great day.
Just starting my foray into Windows 11 and I have a lot of questions.
I'm a very methodical person so preparing for this update will take several months.
To get the ball rolling I'd like to ask if anyone knows a way to customize W11 folders and MAINTAIN the preview functionality. I believe I read somewhere that customizing folders breaks previews. I'm just not fond of the icons used for Windows 11. If I can, I'd like to use the icon set from W10.
My experience so far has been a little disappointing. Everything is considerably slower than my Windows 10 PC, and there is so much functionality that has been removed. But I've managed to find workarounds for most things. I hope to post here when I come across something I can't solve and lean on the expertise of the good people of this site. Hope that's ok.
I'd prefer not to have to rely on third party tools, but it seems it's inevitable. Like ShellfolderFix, OldNewExplorer, OpenShell, ExplorerPatcher, WinAeroTweaker et al.
thank you.
