Win11 low memory footprint

Is it just for me of Win11 memory footprint is the lowest one ever?
Installed on a 12 y old Dell 830 with 3 GB RAM.
After everything settles down, RAM usage is only 1.4 GB.

While I admit that I haven't spent a lot of time (yet) observing the new Windows 11 memory management and usage....
It seems to me that it latches onto somewhere around 20% or what's physically available.

Is this remarkably different than what you observed with the same machine running Windows 10?

Yes, Win10 was always >2 GB at idle on that D830 (same on all other Win10 systems I tried)

 

[Trouble]

My suggestions is to wait for the finished product and then compare.
There may be services, processes and threads that are handled more efficiently by Windows 11
OR
Some that were present in Windows 10 are deprecated or just not switched on yet in Windows 11.

You're right.
One thing is certain, for the moment Win11 runs fine on subpar hardware far below minimal requirements.
