Here’s some hot news about Microsoft Defender for Office 365. Has it ever been a mystery to you what was fixed by whom in your security? Well, worry no more.

In a recent blog revealing the changes to come in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, the tech titan will begin properly attributing fixes for when automation healed the infected systems. Starting in September 2024, fixes resulting from Automated Investigation and Response (AIR) actions will be tagged as such so SecOps teams can distinguish the fixes they won’t have made.

This is a meaningful attempt to empower users with deeper insight and awareness about their security environment, distinguishing remediations originating with AIR from those performed by SecOps on their behalf.

But wait, there’s more. To go along with those precision-laid traps, Microsoft is tweaking the submission results of Defender for Office 365 so that IT pros can set spam and phishing rules with greater ease. Better security management, fewer headaches, and safer digital environments for all.
