The latest update for Windows 11, known as Moment 5, is now accessible to all users of the operating system. Initially released on February 29, 2024, as an optional update for users opting to manually download updates via the Windows Settings app, it has now become a compulsory update with the roll-out of the April 2024 Patch Tuesday updates on April 9.

Moment 5, which is more compact than its predecessors, introduces several new features, including Snap Layouts and Windows Spotlight, alongside updates to existing functionalities like Nearby Share and Copilot. For an in-depth exploration of everything Moment 5 has to offer, refer to this comprehensive guide.

To install the update, open the Settings app, go to Windows Update, and select Check for Updates.

Alternatively, for manual installation, visit the Microsoft Update Catalog, search for KB5036893, and download it. Follow the instructions after running the downloaded file to complete the installation.
