Network download speed issues

So recently I found out that my download speeds are a tenth of what they usually are. I'm getting around 30-50mbps down and its used to be around 300+. I reset the network through the settings in Windows 11 and uninstalled and reinstalled the adapter as well. The speeds would be up to where it used to be for about 5 minutes when I reinstalled the drivers and rebooted before jumping back down to 30-50mbps. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Have you also restarted the router/modem?
Is the speed via Wi-Fi or Ethernet?

It is via Ethernet, It is only affecting my computer. My consoles both are getting the higher speeds from ethernet as well.
My MB is the Asus ROG Strix B550-f gaming. I have also tested the speed on another desktop as well and its getting the higher speeds although it is on Windows 10.

Was the Win 11 pc purchased with that os or with Win 10?
Have you updated the Ethernet drivers?
Have you updated the BIOS?

It was Purchased with windows 10 and upgraded to 11.
I have updated both bios and Ethernet drivers with no changes to the speed.
Have noticed each time I restart however, I do get my normal speeds for about 2 minutes before it goes back down.

Did the problem occur before the upgrade to 11?
Is the pc compatible with Win 11?

Check under the Ethernet’s properties>configure>advanced tab for duplex setting & choose full duplex.

It is at full duplex and speeds are still slow. I did some research and turns out that the intel adapter on the MB have had issues throughout its lifetime and apparently still is not resolved. Also did buy a USB-c to ethernet adapter and tried that and had the same issue which I thought was odd. I then proceeded to try a different wire and same issue occurs.

Thanks for the update. Sorry the suggestion didn’t work. Most likely you’d need to replace the Ethernet card or purchase a Wi-Fi dongle (if the pc doesn’t already have Wi-Fi) & use that.
You could try an older Ethernet driver first though.
Right click Ethernet device.
Choose update driver.
Choose ‘browse my computer for drivers’.
Choose ‘let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer’.
Choose the compatible hardware from the list, then choose next.
Choose one of the older drivers from the list shown, then click next.
This will then reinstall the driver.

Alrighty, so I tried doing that and in doing so, I am seeing better speeds from before but it's not consistent.
Ping fluctuates from test to test between 6-10
Download speed is anywhere from 80mbps all the way to 500mbps
Using Speedtest, I'll get like two or three tests at the speed of 500mbps and one after that at like 80mbps
This is better than what it was so thank you for that!

You’re welcome. Hopefully it’ll settle down over the next few days.
Do you have fast startup enabled? If so try disabling it & then restarting.
