Which drivers are better and recommended; Automatic drivers from Windows Update or Manual drivers?

Hi,

In Windows 10 and Windows 11, almost all drivers get download automatically.

Moreover, manual drivers are also available for each component on manufacturer's support website.

Nowadays most of users and tech guys go for Automatic drivers from Windows Updates.

Which drivers are better and recommended for better performance of components?

Moreover, can we be assured about drivers from Windows Update; drivers from Windows Update are exactly same which are required for components?

Please elaborate and advice.

The best advice I received from a "seasoned tech" years ago was if you are not experiencing problems don't update drivers as a general rule. However, if you want to update drivers anyway, the best source is the manufacturer. Most often they will have the latest version available and have finalized testing.

As sir george says. But, a proviso to consider : MS state that the drivers they include are the latest tested by the manufacturers, and then passed along to the relevant os producers.

drivers up date I could see right off the bat a must with Win11 not so with Win10. Now they are coming hot and heavy With Win11
