According to recent reports from credible sources, Microsoft has revealed its ambitious plans for a significant artificial intelligence (AI) push in Windows 11 later this year. Therefore, it becomes obvious that Microsoft is preparing for a revolutionary change in the Windows ecosystem, as clues keep appearing one after the other.

Microsoft is set to kick off this monumental journey with a special Surface and AI event just ahead of its annual BUILD developer conference. This event, rumored to showcase Microsoft’s collaboration with Qualcomm on ARM-powered Surface devices, promises to captivate audiences with demos aimed squarely at rivaling Apple’s M3-Series CPUs.

But that’s not all: Microsoft will be rolling out a ‘big new Windows AI’ at the event, setting the stage for a paradigm shift in how we interact with our devices.

Sometimes, it’s hard to see what they are up to, but this year’s BUILD (yes, they still use Bold Text in their names), their big developer conference, is all about refocusing on Windows development. Sessions include ‘Designing for a brand-new Windows AI feature’ and ‘Build richer experiences with Copilot in Windows’.

There’s one session, for example, entitled ‘Introducing the Next Generation of Windows on Arm’, which promises the industry’s leading performance and AI integration for Arm-based Windows devices. One thing is certain: Microsoft’s bold investments in AI and Windows development seem to be shaping an exciting future.
